Escape room for corporate management team members
Turnn is a fully digital travel platform that enables employers to facilitate a flexible travel experience. ICT Group, the mother company, asked me to design a physical presentation for the Dutch Design Week to explain and promote Turnn. We sat down to discuss the communication strategy and came to the conclusion that the benefits of the platform were clear yet complicated to explain. As the target group of selected corporate managers were invited to the event, we created an educational escape room concept.
Players were set up in groups of six in a corporate board room setting, acting as members of a fictitious company. The ‘Corona-infected’ CEO (played by an actor) gave a video briefing, urging them to find solutions to save on travel expenses, CO2-exhaust, sick leave and fuel costs.
Numbers, clues and information were hidden in various puzzles in the room. The team members were challenged to collaborate and combine forces and input in order to save the company from bankruptcy.
Result: ‘surprising, informative and fun!’
