Branding of PUMA pavilion for Volvo Ocean Race

PUMA asked us to come up with a branding concept for their QUAD retail container pavilion. So why not bring their graphic mascotte Mar Mostro (‘Sea Monster’) to life? I designed custom tentacles which were produced from polyester and lit by integrated LED lights. Tentacles can be disassembled to be shipped efficiently in the containers. Mounted with special wind resisting frames on the container roof, the tentacles were a clear reference point for the PUMA pavilion and a true icon for the Alicante Volvo Ocean Race city.
